The Bothan is in the village of Tarskavaig in the south of the Isle of Skye on the Sleat peninsula.
The address is 8 Tarskavaig, Sleat, Isle of Skye IV46 8SA
Using the app “What3words” the Bothan is ///rates.bends.cakes
It is highly advisable to arrive in daylight hours as the village has no street lights and first arrivals in the dark can be difficult. A torch is recommended for night time arrivals. Please note the nearest shop is in Armadale.
There is the option of a short ferry journey from Mallaig to Armadale. https://www.calmac.co.uk/en-gb/route-information/mallaig-armadale/#/
Alternatively the road bridge from Kyle of Lochalsh connects the Isle of Skye to the mainland.
When entering the village with the community hall on your right turn left until you meet the red telephone box, turn left again with the Bothan slightly hidden from the road but with the shed, gate and car parking area very visible.
If you have travelled through Ord then turn right at the "Tarskavaig" sign and continue straight towards the sea, do not turn left at the telephone box.
